Massive Cure Productions is the music-lusting, health-conscious brainchild of Cameron Jung, aka FlutterByCam (she/her/hers). She’s fostered a long-standing vision of intertwining her passions for music and nutrition into her own force, which is now known to be Massive Cure Productions. There have been many influences that have led to this present manifestation dating back to when Cameron was a staff photographer and writer for fanzine, HomoTiller Media Industries, in the early to late 90s. During that time she learned some of the finer points of how to conduct an interview with some of the ‘more creative and looser’ characters of the punk, post-punk, noisey, raucous music scene of the time, while also taking photographs of live shows mostly in the Bay Area. She’s had the pleasure of interviewing, photographing and/or reviewing bands such as The Jesus Lizard, Cows, Apples In Stereo, Modest Mouse, Sebadoh, Exene Cervenka, Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Pavement, Beck, Boredoms, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, Cypress Hill, Harvey Sid Fisher, Bully Pulpit West, and many more. She then evolved into an on-air talent at college radio station, KCPR, while also working on her Nutrition degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the late 90s. Entering the world of college radio was huge fun and there will always be a part of her that yearns to be back in the studio. Cam then took a break from the music world to focus on having a family and doing the work to become a licensed Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, while also completing her Master’s degree. She also moved overseas twice during that time, then was fortunate enough to land back in CA. She then later returned to the radio world to become the host of the Massive Cure Power Lunch on community radio station, 97.3/107.9 The Rock, from 2014-2018. After that she ventured out to live DJing with SLOGrrrl from 2017- early 2022. Most recently she is now the resident DJ for Art After Dark (first Friday of each month from 5-8pm) at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art. Currently she is living her dream of DJing around the local area and working as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist while continuing to raise her family on the beautiful Central Coast of California. She spends her free time with loved ones and her cat. She loves listening to music, dancing, going on walks/hikes/bike rides and experiencing live music while striving to live a sustainable life that treads lightly on Mother Earth.
